  • Primary Election Voting: Currently underway in Hawaiʻi. Participation strengthens the Hawaiʻi Hotel Alliance's advocacy efforts.

  • Ballot Information: Confirm voter registration, register, or update address at https://olvr.hawaii.gov. Mail-in ballots must be received by 7:00pm on August 10, 2024.

  • Hoʻokipa TV Shows: Four shows completed, filming at Hyatt Regency Maui and Outrigger Kaʻanapali Beach on July 29th and 30th. New show on Hawaiʻi Hotel market in 2024 and 2025 outlook in August.

  • Bill 2919: Collaboration with Hawaiʻi Mayors to address short-term rentals, emphasizing the need for enforcement.

  • California “Junk Fee” Bill: Laws SB 478 and AB 537 took effect on July 1, 2024, requiring fee transparency in advertising for transient lodging.

  • Maui Shoreline Management: Mayor Bissen to sign revised SMA & Shoreline rules after successful amendments with HHA's collaboration.

  • Hawaiʻi Island Transient Accommodations Rental (TAR) Bills: Continued discussions and amendments required; significant concerns about regulations on ag-zoned land and coordination between county departments.
